Scott Ratner, the confusing sentence you astutely pointed out is one I noticed and cringed at the first time I read the published version of the story on the morning the debut issue of Flash Bang Mysteries went live. It has since been corrected, and I thank both you, BJ and Brandon for calling it to my attention and being willing to correct it.

Excellent, Barry!

One quibble– the line “he was at least as much to blame as she–and probably less–” is somewhat confusing and contradictory as written (the first part conveys more than or equal to, and the second part less than) and doesn’t readily convey the idea which I think you’re trying to get across, which is “he was no more to blame than she was–and probably less.” As such, I think it should be written as I just described, or else as , “she was at least as much to blame as he was–and probably more.”
